Horse Paintings
Since i was a little girl . . . . . i loved horses. There is a photographer who calls herself Ruth on the Hoof, who makes gorgeous photos of native British ponies. i love to train my painting skills with these photos. To learn about what makes a horse a horse. The details ,shapes ,curves ,expressions. i paint with water colors and i learn as i go along. At first i tried to paint from my head but that did not look like much ,than i went to using my own photos ,but that still did not turn things on like what happens with Ruth’s photos. There is something about her photos that spark something in me. They are kind of magic ,the way she captures these ponies.
The paintings are purely for myself. My own practice and joy. The two rows of gallery is from my own photos of my own ponies
